I've always been a big fan of wild flowers. (I prefer them, by far, to an extravagant bouquet of the extremely expensive store bought variety.) And this is as wild as it gets. Elliott loves picking me little dandelions or any other little flower that he happens across. The best is when he picks me one that has little tiny bugs crawling all around on it... (eeeewww...)As a side note: who decided which flowers are called weeds and which are called flowers? I have a small bone to pick with whoever did, because there are numerous varieties of "weed" flowers that I quite adore!
Here's a little tidbit from David and my conversation with Elliott over coffee cake and "coffee" this evening. We were asking Elliott some questions and here are the results:
1. Favorite color = blue
2. Favorite song = "The wheels on the bus go 'round and 'round"
3. Favorite Bible story = "Jesus (i.e. Jonah) and the big fish" (He gets his characters mixed up.)
4. Best Fixer = Daddy
5. Smartest person = Mommy
6. Happiest person = Daddy, Mommy, and Elliott
7. Who loves you the most = Grandma and Grandpa
And apparently, while David was brushing Elliott's teeth and getting him ready for bed, David asked him which was his favorite house (expecting to hear something like Grandma and Grandpa's or Sue's). But what he said was, "The house that Jesus is building for me."
